Protecting God’s Children
Holy Sepulcher Parish supports the Diocese of Pittsburgh in their efforts to provide a Safe Environment for our children when they participate in parish programs. Along with receiving any necessary training and in-service for your particular ministry, it is essential that you complete the requirements of our general Safe Environment Plan.
If you are looking for the schedule for Protecting God’s Children Workshops or the information explaining the Parish Safe Environment Procedures, they can be found on the by clicking the links here or on the Religious Ed webpage.
If you’ve ever wandered whether you need a background check regarding your involvement with the Parish, the attached list designates which positions and jobs
require a background check.
As a critical part of our safe environment policy for young people, the Diocese of Pittsburgh is creating a centralized electronic database of those that work and minister in the Church who have contact with young people under the age of 18. To create this secured diocesan database, all who have contact with the youth of our parish are now required to create an electronic file by completing an application. This includes any clergy, religious, employee or volunteer in the parish who have contact with youth in their work or ministry. The link to that database is :https://www.eappsdb.com/Login.asp?ORGZ_KEY=39
Linked are three pamphlets that are required reading for the Protecting God’s Children program. These pamphlets can be read on-line or printed for your convenience. After reading the pamphlets, please print the registration page at the end of the pamphlet, sign it, and return it to the Parish offices. Thank you!
