Holy Sepulcher Catholic School students participate in the National Geographic Bee every year.
Students in grades 4 through 8 begin with a preliminary round in their respective classrooms. The preliminary round consists of seven rounds and determines which students will advance to the next round. Those top two students in grades four to eight, a total of ten students, advance to the final competition. This final round will reduce the number of contestants to three. Those three students compete in the Championship Round. This round determines one student from the school who will take the written Qualifying Test to compete for advancement to the state level.
The 100 top scoring students in each state and qualifying territory will then compete in their state competition. The first place winner from each state level competition will advance to the national level.
